Developed and managed all emergency procedures for all companies. Projects ranged from $500k-$120 million with as many has 250 internal field craftsman and 20-40 subcontractors. Project/OSP Engineer Responsible for the engineering and inspection of outside plant construction projects and Level (3) Point of Presence (POP) facilities (Inside Plant).  Performed daily field engineering tasks to include the design of conduit routes and building laterals requiring drafting as builts, surveying manholes and assisting with estimating change orders.

 

In 2002 accepted the promotional challenge to travel and perform in the capacity of Project Engineer and Safety Engineer for the Fluor Daniel Telecommunications and Power Divisions - Nextel Facilities Maintenance and Duke Energy Projects. Some key achievements in these multiple company divisions were….

 

 

·         Developed a baseline for Fluor Daniel to present to Nextel executives so they could analyze where Nextel is spending their money regarding maintainance and trouble calls.  So they could identify their problem areas. This information was taken from three different markets containing over 2000 cell sites each.  Southern California, Texas and Florida.

·         Provided Nextel executives a detail coherent analyses and executive summary with detailed graphs and charts regarding the reasons and costs of all trouble calls and routine maintenance in all three major markets so any trends and anomalies between the markets could be identified. Allowing future projections on costs to be determined.

·         Developed and implemented work processes for preventive maintenance for over 3000 cell sites

·         Assisted in the development and implementation of Safety & Health programs while supervising construction on two $650 million 1240/1060 megawatt Duke Energy co-generation power facilities with over 2000 multiple craft employees on site.

·         Conducted joint QA/QC audits with the client to ensure the subcontractor is meeting the high quality standards set by Fluor regarding Duke Energy and Nextel’s chemical, electrical, mechanical and petroleum systems.

·         Primary point of contact for all emergency and routine maintenance, including work approvals and site access information.
